We have two self catering French holiday gites (cottages) located nextdoor to each other. The first is La Chemin de Fer; this sleeps 4/5 and our second La Maison Dubois sleeps 4.

La Gare itself is a very small hamlet with a few houses and its very own station. Two coach diesel trains go to Dinan and St. Brieuc- just 3 per day in each direction (one on Sundays). The surrounding countryside is pleasantly peaceful undulating farmland.

La Gare is between 2 villages: Corseul and Languenan (both 2km away) in the Côtes-d'Armor region of Brittany. Corseul is famous for its Roman origins and it has a small museum. Both have bakeries and Corseul has a mini market, Post Office and 2 restuarants. This ideal location close to the Medival city of Dinan and victorian sea side resort of Dinard.Whilst at the same time you can enjoy the countryside and deserted family beaches.

The two french gites are located near the north coast of brittany near to the port of Saint Malo. The gites are ideal for family holidays, long and short breaks. We can offer discounted - cheap ferry prices with brittany ferries holiday owners club and offer a great value holidays in a stunning area of france. Due to the rural location you can find yourself on some of the most beautiful beaches in France all on your own at certain times of the year. The area is famous for it's fresh seafood and there are many exeptional resaurants to choose from.Although we are in a tourist area near to the coast, our gite is ideally located away from the main tourism areas of brittany.

As you can see from the map we are ideally locatedon the north coast within easy reach of the main ferry ports. The nearest Port is Saint Malo where brittany ferries operates a daily service to the UK.
